"Festival for the Soul" SAMARA "Silver Volunteers Society", is an organization of volunteers in the city of Samara. Silver Volunteers are active people who shared their successes in volunteering, recited poems, sang songs, told stories and about future plans. BKs were welcomed and requested to share about Raja Yoga. The audience learned the basics of understanding the self as an eternal soul and Father – the Supreme Soul, attaining peace, love and happiness, power from Him. &nbsp;Then everyone dove into silence meditation with guided commentary and song about soul. People need love, care and protection. Like all the festivals Raksha Bandhan has a deep spiritual significance. Sisters tie a beautiful silk thread - rakhi around their brothers' wrists to protect them from evil. And the brothers promise to protect their sisters and help them in difficult situations. Raksha Bandhan is a particularly revered festival in India which reminds us that there is a spiritual kinship among people all over the world. We are all spiritual children of God. His holy love and the power of purity nourishes and protects us from any evil. A pledge from heart: What do I want to get rid of in order to become happy. "How to fill up with power" Public program&nbsp; IRKUTSK On autumn days, our mood sometimes changes and we feel a lack of power. The students of the Brahma Kumaris Raja Yoga Center in Irkutsk offered the citizens the program "How to fill up with power". They talked about thoughts that make us empty and take away our spiritual powers, as well as about the methods of how to fill ourselves with powers. The guests of the program contemplated on what spiritual powers we have, how they can help us to move forward. They also could explore inner states and understand "who I am". Meditation was an interesting experiment for everybody. Each participant imagined himself in the most perfect and powerful state and then wrote a letter for oneself with advice on how not to lose energy and be filled with strength. During the tea party the guests wanted to discuss the topic of the next meeting. Program “My years are my wealth” CHITA The festive program "My years are my wealth" at the Senior Citizens Communication Center of the Social Fund of Russia in city Chita "Ingoda" was successfully held by BK students on the occasion of the Day of the Elderly, the Day of Wisdom. During the program the guests were suggested to look at oneself, to look deep inside and see diamonds of love, pearls of purity, sapphires of peace, gold placers of happiness and joy, platinum mines of wisdom and inner powers. A person who possesses such countless, everlasting treasures, can’t be unsuccessful! To the host's question: "Where are these jewels kept?", the guests answered: "In the soul." Wah! Everybody understood the main thing: we don't really have anything to worry about, because we are eternal souls! The practice of Raja Yoga meditation helps the soul to gain Wisdom. Spiritual treasures were taken out of a wonderful box symbolizing a soul and everyone contemplated: Do I have enough of this or that treasure? Meditation at the end of the program enabled everybody to fill up with spiritual treasures. The transformation was reflected on the face of the people. Sincere smiles, eyes filled with kindness and happiness... And the desire to stay in this atmosphere for some more time. Both large cities and small villages here are subjected to daily shelling and bombing. Electricity consumption is restricted now and then. In addition, the sounds of air raid sirens interrupt sleep at night though we all get up in time at Amrit Vela to go into Baba's lap again.However, during all this time, BKs and BK centres remain under the unbreakable canopy of God's protection.And our main focus now is on the on-line programmes, service with the mind, and personal spiritual efforts. In addition, we exchanged a lot with BKs in our region.At the moment lokik people generally do not move much away from their homes. One fortunate soul is currently taking the introductory course at the Kyiv centre. Of course, some attend online courses in Spiritual Knowledge and Raja Yoga Meditation. Some attend other courses.According to Trikaldarshi Baba's plan, to our fortune, we have the oasis of peace and safety, the Sangam Retreat Center (SRC), located in Vinnytsia Region of Ukraine. Although construction work is still ongoing at SRC, BKs from different cities of Ukraine take turns coming to SRC to do service, experience solitude, enrich the soul and rest.Happy to inform you that recently, a new automatic traffic control system was launched at the retreat centre. It operates in two buildings and also outdoors.
