Mr. Siddarth Gowrav joined the Indian Diplomatic Service in 2021. He graduated from the Indian Institute of Information Technology in Allahabad with a degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering and received a Postgraduate Diploma in Management (MBA) from the Indian Institute of Management in Calcutta.</p><p style="font-weight:400;"><strong>Pavel&nbsp;Khoroshutin</strong>, a Brahma Kumaris student, has been practicing Raja yoga for more than 14 years, he is a Director of the Center for Research and Development "Technologies of the Ideal", a practical behavioral psychologist, a researcher with 20 years of experience, head of the behavioral psychotherapy modality of the OPPL (All-Russian Professional Psychotherapeutic League). He is the author of patents on behavior change technologies.</p><p style="font-weight:400;">Mr. Siddarth Gowrav visited&nbsp;<strong>Lake Baikal&nbsp;</strong>as a tourist, and also had meetings with Irkutsk public organizations, including the Brahma Kumaris Raja Yoga Center. Various directions in yoga became the topic for discussion. The participants identified the main difference between the Brahma Kumaris method and other types of yoga.</p><p style="font-weight:400;">&nbsp;Mr. Consul General has a deep knowledge of the psychological foundations of yoga. Comparing different approaches to yoga, he drew attention to the fact that the&nbsp;<strong>Brahma Kumaris&nbsp;</strong>methods allow people to teach moral behavior. Brahma Kumaris meditation has an effect when people accept the principles of purity and virtue in their life. Many also watched the program online.</p><p><strong>BK Pavel Khoroshutin</strong>,&nbsp;<i>a well-known </i><strong>Irkutsk</strong>&nbsp;<i>poet and singer</i>&nbsp;hosted the program.&nbsp;<strong>Pavel</strong>&nbsp;said that he has been studying the Raja Yoga Spiritual Knowledge for more than 10 years and his songs are about his exploring the soul, as well as the qualities of the soul. The audience listened to&nbsp;<i>songs about peace, love, power, purity, happiness, wisdom and also about how the soul manifests these qualities.</i>&nbsp;Towards the end of the concert, guests tried to dive into bliss and then talked about that main quality of the soul: what the bliss is, and what we need to do to experience bliss in our life.</p><p>The guests got acquainted with the pictures about Spiritual Knowledge, received toli, blessing cards and much more. The weekly issue is prepared in Moscow and sent by e-mail to partners who contribute it to their publications. Readers love and trust the Weekly very much.<span class="gmail_default">&nbsp;</span>Among the authors of "New Tuesday" are famous writers and public figures, winners of various awards and competitions, including the prestigious Golden Pen award in the journalistic community. "New Tuesday" is an all-Russian weekly and has a tab application in the media of all the Federal Districts, including the Federal Weekly "Mir Novostei (World News). The total readership is more than 2.2 million people.</span>&nbsp;<br><br><span style="font-family:georgia, serif;font-size:large;"><strong>Leonid Arikh is also a laureate of the Golden Pen of Russia, Prize of the Union of Journalists of Russia.</strong>&nbsp;It is awarded annually for outstanding professional achievements, long-term work in the Russian press, radio and television, civic position and impeccable moral authority among colleagues.</span>&nbsp;<br><br><span style="font-family:georgia, serif;font-size:large;">During his warm-hearted, get-acquainted meeting with Didi at the Moscow center, Mr Arikh learned about the Center and its activities, and about the experiences of the students, who, with the help of Spiritual Knowledge and Raja Yoga, were able to easily overcome professional burnout, stress, bad habits – smoking, alcohol, and gain control over their minds and emotions.&nbsp; Mr Arikh was openly skeptical: "I doubt it! How is all this possible!" However, as an open hearted journalist he asked nearly 108 questions including about how the organisation was established and how everything began, who is Brahma? Can he be seen? His questions finished after meditating in Baba's room.</span>&nbsp;<br><br><span style="font-family:georgia, serif;font-size:large;">Indeed, how could one believe that a public organization exists on the voluntary, incognito students’ contributions, that they do everything with great enthusiasm. They maintain perfect cleanliness and beauty in the Center; prepare, conduct non-profit programs for all kinds of &nbsp;people; work on socially significant projects; even travel by invitation to other cities to give lectures! And no one gets a salary! For them it's a service and their sincere, pure desire for the Center to live, develop, and benefit not only themselves, but also other people, the city, the country, and the world. The journalist was met with something incomprehensible, but so attractive, some kind of miracle!</span>&nbsp;<br><br><span style="font-family:georgia, serif;font-size:large;">During a friendly lunch, the distinguished guests met a cook, a doctor by profession; a teacher of chemistry and biology, and a practicing psychologist who prepared beautiful fragrant pastries and decorated the table. At near-by tables, several people were decorating little cakes for the next day's program. In the yard, another student, a builder, an artist, and a designer by profession, was planting flowers as a gardener.</span>&nbsp;<br><br><span style="font-family:georgia, serif;font-size:large;">Mr Arikh asked: "You say that your self-improvement study lasts for the whole life. Do you give any diplomas to your students?" We replied that here we learn to live consciously, improve our character, and be filled with inner power. Therefore, our diploma is life itself, which becomes an inspiration for others.</span>&nbsp;<br><br><span style="font-family:georgia, serif;font-size:large;">We presented Mr Arikh with the Diploma of&nbsp;Public&nbsp;Recognition "Diamond of Benevolence" with the words: "For dedication to the profession, friendly and honest conversation with the reader, as a sign of respect for the work that helps build a better future."</span>&nbsp;<br><br><span style="font-family:georgia, serif;font-size:large;">Our meeting was so special and close to our hearts that we did not even notice that three hours had passed. We exchanged gifts. The songs touched the hearts of the audience and helped to feel that spring has come. The music filled the hall with lively emotions and inspiration.</p><p style="font-weight:400;"><strong>Ms. Ekaterina Ozerova, a teacher of choreography, winner of Russian and international dance festivals,</strong>&nbsp;showed her skills in the tribal fusion style, and also talked about the role of dancing in her life. The participants shared their impressions of the trips to India and the feelings they had towards the country. Thanks to the video, everyone could make a virtual trip to India and visit&nbsp;<strong>Madhuban&nbsp;</strong>where the headquarters of the&nbsp;<strong>Brahma Kumaris World Spiritual University&nbsp;</strong>is located. This magical place attracts thousands of people from all over the world who have a desire to be filled with good energy and spiritually renewed.</p><p style="font-weight:400;"><strong>Yuri Shiyan</strong>&nbsp;also shared his impressions of a recent trip to India. He performed a composition inspired by Indian culture with great enthusiasm. PETERSBURG, RUSSIA</p><p>(May, 2025)</p><p>1st week of May, 2025, saw tremendous preparations in Russia for celebrating the 80th anniversary of Victory in World War II. Leaders from around the world began arriving here from 6th May, and that was the time when scores of side events with participants representing BRICS nations started taking place. The guests received an opportunity to absorb the country’s splendour, cultural richness and its long history.<br>Global Economic Forum Summit was held in this country from 8th to 13th May, and as part of the Summit, a group of dignitaries from India representing Education, Business, Art and Culture lead by Dr. Hari Krishna Maram, Founder Chairman of Global Economic Forum, arrived in St. Petersburg, the cultural capital of Russia, on 10th May. One of the venues for the Forum sessions here was a prestigious “Sankt Petersburg” hotel. This message has been shared by the Brahma Kumaris members in St. Petersburg at various venues on the occasion of Independence Day of India and the pure festival of Raksha Bandhan.&nbsp;</p><p style="text-align:center;">On August, 15, a group of BK students joined the official flag hoisting ceremony at Consulate General of India in this city. After listening to a<br>special address delivered to the nation by Smt. Draupadi Murmu ji, President of India, on the eve of 78th Independence Day celebration, there was a space for friendly communication with the Consulate staff, members of the local Indian community and guests of St. Petersburg (especially a large<br>group of retired police officers from Delhi and other cities of Bharat). The frigate was built at the Baltic Shipyard in St. Petersburg in 2004. It is the third multifunctional ship of “Talwar” class in the Indian Navy.</p><p>Didi Santosh graced with her presence the festive meeting on board the frigate “Tabar” on Monday, July 29. Among the participants were Vice Admiral Tarun Sobti, Deputy Chief of the Naval Staff; Brijinder Sodhi, Naval Attaché (Indian Embassy in Moscow); Gaurav Kumar, Сonsul General of India in St. Petersburg; Alexander Konovalov, director general of Baltic Shipyard; Evgueny Grigoriev, chairman of Committee for External Relations of St. Petersburg; Margarita Mudrak, chairperson of Association for International Co-operation of St. Petersburg; Indian Navy officers based in Severodvinsk and Kaliningrad.</p><p>Alexander Konovalov expressed his surprise mentioning that the ship has been maintained so perfectly well even 20 years after it was built. He thanked the ship’s crew for their dedication and hard work. While meeting with Didi Santosh, Mr Alexander Konovalov was happy to know that the Brahma Kumaris Centre in St. Petersburg was located quite near his home.</p><p>The next day, while meeting the ship’s crew, Santosh Didi explained the deep spiritual significance of the ancient festival of Raksha Bandhan and tied Rakhis to everyone. The dialogue “The Art of Creating Double Light Atmosphere in the Family” that took place in Lighthouse on Thursday, July 4<sup>th</sup>, became the third public event since the official launch of the project three weeks ago.</p><p>This time, a large group of couples (yugal), BK members from Delhi and Mumbai, arrived in St. Petersburg, increasing the beauty of the gathering.</p><p>It is said, as is the food, so is the mind. This became one of the key topics of the dialogue. Speaking about subtle energies contained in pure vegetarian diet cooked with good wishes and spiritual love, in God’s remembrance,&nbsp;<strong>BK Aditi</strong>, distinguished educationist and author, CEO of Dynamic Minds Group (Delhi), shared her personal story of how this understanding and practice had enabled her to restore inner calm and enhanced happy and balanced relations with her family members.</p><p><strong>BK Nitin Beri</strong>&nbsp;(Mumbai), member of Board of Governors, Global Institute of Business Studies, expressed his joy of interacting with his brothers and sisters, residents of St. Petersburg, mentioning that Mumbai and St. Petersburg were sister cities. This awareness is a thread that is going to give us back the divine power that will sustain the family, society, and the world in general.”&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Santosh Didi </strong>explained the message behind the new project by saying, “God, the Supreme Father, has given us a new understanding. Originally, as we come to this world, we are present here for giving, not for taking. Deities are givers, and ordinary human beings are takers. As time goes by, however, we gradually change from givers to takers, and accordingly our sorrow and sufferings keep increasing. Then we establish relationships in order to share our pain, rather than to give comfort and happiness. This is how relationships change into karmic bondages. So the new project is aimed at enabling us to become free from those bondages. And the key to achieve that is to consider ourselves to be souls having happy relations with the household of our own bodies, in the first place, and then to come in interaction with others with the attitude of giving.”&nbsp;</p><p>On this special occasion, the <strong>2nd edition of the book “A Happy Family: 36 Questions and 36 Answers”</strong> was introduced to the audience. The book released now is based on the materials of the family training programs and other events that have been held in Lighthouse since 1990.&nbsp;</p><p>The events within the framework of the new project will continue till the end of this year. During the program the guests were suggested to look at oneself, to look deep inside and see diamonds of love, pearls of purity, sapphires of peace, gold placers of happiness and joy, platinum mines of wisdom and inner powers. A person who possesses such countless, everlasting treasures, can’t be unsuccessful! To the host's question: "Where are these jewels kept?", the guests answered: "In the soul." Wah! Everybody understood the main thing: we don't really have anything to worry about, because we are eternal souls! The practice of Raja Yoga meditation helps the soul to gain Wisdom. Spiritual treasures were taken out of a wonderful box symbolizing a soul and everyone contemplated: Do I have enough of this or that treasure? Meditation at the end of the program enabled everybody to fill up with spiritual treasures. The transformation was reflected on the face of the people. Sincere smiles, eyes filled with kindness and happiness... And the desire to stay in this atmosphere for some more time.
