News from Ulan Ude, BURYATIA, Russia

Buryatia is a very special region located in Siberia and is the center of Buddhism in Russia. The religious minded people of the Region are unhurried and introverted by nature close to Indians. Beautiful and calm surroundings are a gift from the Nature with a large number of century-old cedar forests. World's freshwater Pearl, Baikal lake adds to the serenity of this one of the far east Russian Regions. In addition the Ancient Indian traditions are imprinted in the hearts of every resident of the city. Here Raja Yoga centre has been functioning for some years.

BK Dr. Alexey, Moscow travelled to Ulan Ude, Capital of Buryatia to conduct programmes on a variety of topics at few organisations well known in the city of half million population. The main aim was to bring souls of this unique land close to the Knowledge imparted through Brahma Kumaris. He covered some spiritual oriented topics such as soul consciousness, law of karma, meditation, etc., and also covered certain medicine connected topics. By emphasising on inculcation of virtues such as patience, calmness, happiness, lightness and purity, Bro. Alexey also shared his thoughts about causes and remedies of cancer. At all places the listeners were Buddhists. Rare points of understanding such as about the life and death, the eternity of being, etc. were also dealt with. The Positive Parenting Center in Ulan Ude held a programme dedicated to memory and overcoming of sleep problems. BKs from Ulan Ude too shared about the importance of positive thinking and ways to become free from unnecessary, empty, and negative thoughts.

The short trip on Godly service is quite appreciable. Organisers and listeners conveyed their sincere words of gratitude to the guest doctor from Moscow and believed that their cooperation with the World Spiritual University will be interesting and useful for organizations and also to the public of Buryatia whose hearts pull to the sainty and the Ancient land of Bharat.
