AT GLOBAL ECONOMIC SUMMIT FORUM
ST. PETERSBURG, RUSSIA

1st week of May, 2025, saw tremendous preparations in Russia for celebrating the 80th anniversary of Victory in World War II. Leaders from around the world began arriving here from 6th May, and that was the time when scores of side events with participants representing BRICS nations started taking place. The guests received an opportunity to absorb the country’s splendour, cultural richness and its long history.
Global Economic Forum Summit was held in this country from 8th to 13th May, and as part of the Summit, a group of dignitaries from India representing Education, Business, Art and Culture lead by Dr. Hari Krishna Maram, Founder Chairman of Global Economic Forum, arrived in St. Petersburg, the cultural capital of Russia, on 10th May. One of the venues for the Forum sessions here was a prestigious “Sankt Petersburg” hotel. On the request of the Brahma Kumaris delegates of the Summit, Dr. Dipak Suresh Harke suggested the organizers invite Didi Santosh, BK director in this city, to share some wisdom of the ancient Raja Yoga and conduct a meditation for the gathering.
After Didi Santosh addressed the assembly, she was graced with Global Leader Award by the organizers in recognition of her long standing service to humanity with the Brahma Kumaris World Spiritual University. Along with Didi Santosh few dignitaries in arts, cultural and business fields too received awards.
Following the Forum, a large delegation of businessmen from India, including BK participants of the Summit, visited Lighthouse, the Brahma Kumaris centre, and had an opportunity to extend their loving tribute to respected Jagdish Bhai Sahab in whose honour a programme was organized here on 11th May.
On 12th May, Mr. Igor Fomin, head of BRICS Centre for Business Cooperation (North-West Russian Federal District), visited Lighthouse and met Dr. Dipak Suresh Harke. Participants of the dialogue shared their vision of the ways of future co-operation of the Brahma Kumaris and various Russian organizations within the framework of BRICS current agenda. Earlier, while meeting Didi Santosh, Mr. Igor Fomin expressed his appreciation of the Brahma Kumaris mission to unite people on the platform of spirituality and universal values.
