Peace for the Nation and the World - San Fransisco Center Offers Solace to souls through meditation

Om shanti,<div>Greetings of Peace and Love from San Francisco, U.S.A.&nbsp;&nbsp;</div><div>&nbsp;</div><div>Brahma Kumaris Meditation Center, San Francisco, participated in the North of Panhandle Neighborhood Association (NOPNA) block party, on Saturday, June 8th, 2024.</div><div>&nbsp;</div><div>Two local politicians were present at the block party: Dean Preston, the District 5 Supervisor and there was a surprise visit by the SF mayor, London Breed, originally from the District 5 neighborhood who visited the BK San Francisco center before.</div><div>&nbsp;</div><div>The Block Party was filled with neighbors, families, artists, local business owners and organizations. The event started with meditation and a spiritual discourse by Sister Kusum, encouraging all to embrace the life of Carefree Emperors.A highlight was the reflective and entertaining skit, “Win Maya with the Power of A.I.”, showcasing how to overcome Maya with Almighty Intelligence. Children lit up the event with dance and singing, while Santa's cheerful visit brought smiles and gifts to all. In this Confluence Age, we, as children of Baba, cultivate unconditional gratitude with the understanding that nothing is inauspicious. Sister Kusum shared inspiring insights on how approaching all tasks with thankfulness rejuvenates the spirit, fosters enthusiasm, and invites blessings. The celebration included a joyful dance by BK kids, a heartfelt song expressing gratitude to Baba, and reflective activities followed by delicious Brahma Bhojan. Participants pondered how Baba's center acts as a sanctuary, drawing us closer to Him through its many activities. On the occasion of Diwali, the festival of light, participants not only witnessed the decorated lights, but also experienced the beauty of carrying inner light.Highlights were the coronation of Ram Sita, two main characters in the Hindu epic Ramayana, who are symbols of goodness and light in the face of evil. A fairy angel decorated with a glowing light gown magnified the divinity of the spiritual gathering. The light parade to the exquisitely decorated and sparkling plaza was led by Ram and Sita, followed by all carrying their lights and wearing crowns. All were uplifted in the atmosphere of inner light and joy and the multitude of shining lights.Participants enjoyed meditation, spiritual talk, music and dance. The mayor of Novato, city council member, renowned cyclist adventurer, and local leaders of several cultures and faiths, graced the event with their presence. The guests addressed the gathering and shared their good wishes on the occasion of Diwali. Anubhuti Meditation and Retreat Center recently participated at the Asian Art Festival 2024 organized by Dharma College, California where locals got to learn the message of RajYoga meditation and showed their interest in exploring more. Sister Vaishali from Anubhuti conducted meditation for the fair visitors. On the occasion of Earth Day, she inspired everyone to express gratitude for Mother Earth. Many artists from several Asian countries performed on the stage demonstrating the richness of their culture and identity.
