This event was attended by a limited number of specially invited persons numbering just over one hundred. The main aim was to bring VIP’s and other cooperative souls to Baba’s home. This has slowed down since Covid 19 as many souls including BK’s are in less numbers to the Centre.It was a spectacular, heartwarming and spiritually charged environment. Guest upon guest, each one being professionals, respectable in society, who have admiration for values, virtues, and acts of kindness, expressed their gratitude and compassion for their experiences of Spirituality in practical application of the benefits they have achieved from their encounter with Sr Payal and other BK’s.Many friends meeting each other after a long time brought jubilation, laughter and happiness. “An angel is in our midst”, a true mother, a caregiver, referring to Sr Payal was expressed. Expressions through songs, video documentary, commentary, topped off by sharing of gifts and dinner left everyone in attendance in a feeling of blissfulness.Special thanks must be given for the contribution of Harilal Bhaiji and his team at Godlywood studio for producing a short documentary on the life of Sr Payal from childhood to present. Souls were very impressed with both her academic and spiritual contribution as well as her acknowledgements of awards for her service. High compliments and thanks for such a wonderful presentation by Goodly Studio in a very short time which I hope will be shared with the family as a means of knowledge and inspiration.The cooperation of the staff for the hosting of the event was family oriented. Love and selflessness were expressed as each one giving of their worth and talent. This was an in-person event where over 100 medical students and professors from the University had gathered. Sister Payal in addressing the gathering spoke about lighting the lamp of the soul to eradicate the darkness of the vices and body consciousness. Her speech was very much appreciated and touched the hearts of those gathered. Several attendees have shown interest in meditation after listening to Sr Payal.&nbsp;While it is rooted in Indian culture and traditions, the Diwali celebration outside India is equally vibrant and colourful. Indian communities worldwide bring their customs to life, lighting up their homes and places of work.&nbsp;The celebration brought people of all backgrounds together to enjoy the spirit of unity, love, and prosperity. The event was a celebration of music, dance, special messages and enlightening conversations and a mesmerizing performance by students.&nbsp;

Celebrating UN week in Antigua and BarbudaThursday 24 October - On this day, the UN System across the Caribbean in celebrating United Nations (UN) Day, being observed globally on October 24, under the theme ‘Decent Work and Economic Growth’ (SDG8) and ‘Partnerships for the goals’ (SDG 17) and will lead activities in celebration of the 79th anniversary of the creation of the United Nations.UN Day offers the opportunity to amplify our common agenda and reaffirm the purposes and principles of the <a target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer" href="https://www.un.org/en/common-agenda">UN Charter</a> that have guided us for the past 79 years. Many of this year's events are geared towards staff and partners.During UN week, several public events were staged as part of ongoing efforts to build awareness and accelerate the&nbsp;implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in-country.Director of the Brahma Kumaris in Antigua B.K. An SDG-themed debate is also being planned, among other activities to observe this UN milestone.UN Day has been celebrated since 1948 and marks the anniversary of the entry into force of the UN Charter in 1945. Emergency workers are working round the clock along with the duty-bound cooperation from Los Angeles Police (LAPD), National Guards (US military reserve force), rescue workers, pilots, doctors, nurses, emergency medical technicians (EMTs), and thousands of ordinary volunteers who are residents of LA and nearby areas. It is an amazing machinery of teamwork. Generous America, with a heart beating with empathy, has turned the attention of its busy mind towards rescuing and rehabilitating Los Angeles.This wildfire has made the story of the “kittens being protected in the fire” come true as NONE of the BK centers had to evacuate and the fire did not come close to any of Baba’s centers. We all are safe under Baba’s canopy. There were power outages in several areas but Baba’s centers have been standing strong like powerful Lighthouses.Many of our BK students and contact souls had to evacuate from their homes, but all of them have been in Tapasya mode and staying strong and stable even in this time. Dear Divine Family, Mexico welcomed BK Dr Hansa Raval (Texas, USA) for several programs. Mexico City: Dr. Hansadidi tied Rakhi to the Brahmin family and all teachers. Retreat near Cuernavaca: New students and BKs (50) experienced three days of spiritual retreat, including Garba dance and Rakhi. AMANC (Mexican Association for Aid to Children with Cancer): Dr. Hansadidi gave children with cancer, and their families, a talk on “Complimentary approach to healing cancer”. &nbsp;Initially, the children and families were detached. At the end of the talk, children and parents were smiling and hugging Didi. The panel included Margarita Penón (former first lady and former congresswoman), Lorna Chacón (journalist and professor at the University of Costa Rica) and brother Yogesh.Mrs. Margarita shared different moments in which in Costa Rica, from the political leadership, spaces for dialogue have been opened thanks to humility and openness to listening and empathy. On the other hand, Brother Yogesh shared how it is necessary to learn to “connect” in order to be able to “find solutions”. Both referred to their meditation practices to cultivate a state of peace even in challenging moments.Afterwards, the Brahmin family enjoyed a weekend retreat full of silence, love for Baba, spiritual empowerment, and interesting and deep churnings on the occasion of rakhi. We were in the minifundo created by Mrs. Elenor Detiger, who has been a long-time friend of Brahma Kumaris, and who has helped many peace causes.We deepened the different levels of study, to move from “entertainment” to the real experience of “power”. This was particularly empowering to some souls that are not coming that much to the center since COVID lockdown. Having all of them experiencing deep yoga drills rekindles their promise to Baba, so this Raksha Bandan celebration was very significant for the brahmins in the Costa Rican family.Then Marcela and Nela went to Nicaragua, where there was an in-person rakhi after 6 years of not being able to travel to that country due to their political turmoil. Furthermore, brother Yogesh was able to share a virtual talk with them about “Remaining stable in the midst of the storms of life”. All the souls that were served in this visit were so grateful and happy; asking when we would return to do more meditations with them. For Marcela and Marianella was a big step or courage by saying Ha ji! to the service when the unexpected situation came.That same day in the evening, at Baba's house in Costa Rica, brother Yogesh shared a talk on “How to change the ordinary into unique”, which was also broadcasted live on Facebook live with more than 1500 views.The shower of blessings also traveled to nature, where at the Irazu Volcano, we were able to go and enjoy a subtle and loving connection in an environment of total silence and lots of light.The family benefited from meaningful chit chats, as brother Yogesh created a very trusting and caring environment where we could deepen in different aspects of gyan and yoga experiences. Bringing all brahmins souls closer to their connection with Baba and with each other.
