"How to cultivate love for a child in yourself": BKs Host International Children's Day in Irkutsk, Russia
On 1st June, 2025 Brahma Kumaris Raja Yoga Center in Irkutsk hosted «The International Children's Day (ICD)».
The Center’s Hall was festively decorated with flags, balloons, and colorful paper children's palms.
Guests entered the hall, where they were greeted by a smiling sun and everything sparkled with cleanliness and joy.
Children and parents joined in singing children's songs and an atmosphere of joy was created to begin with the programme.
The host of the program greeted and congratulated the guests. Addressing the children with the words:
"Each of you, children, is a separate flower, and together you make this world a beautiful garden". "Today the whole world celebrates International Children's Day and this is a wonderful reason for our meeting".
It turns out that Children's Day was first held in 1950 in 51 countries of the world.
To make the celebration actual the adults took part actively in a conversation: "How to cultivate love for a child in yourself".
The idea was explored that it is necessary to practice spiritual consciousness and look at a child as a soul, then interaction with children will be filled with respect, love and mutual understanding.
They also remembered the Almighty Father, God, His care and love for everyone. The team of adults created a collective picture and, together with the Sorceress,
filled it with love and joy. In a matter of minutes, the sun shone on the picture, a rainbow - an arc spread the rocker from right to left and a caring watering can watered the flower garden.
Children enthusiastically presented a concert, demonstrating all their talents and abilities. And each child filled their number with such sincerity and purity as only children can do!
Among the numbers presented, a song was performed, singing with a guitar, a creative work
- a picture, commented on by its author Sonya, brought as a gift to the Baba`s Home.
And the youngest participant Ann performed a dance with inspiration. Each number received the most heartfelt support from parents who then presented gifts to the children - a picture filled with vibrations of love, care and good feelings.
According to the Center's tradition, all guests were offered blessings. And in conclusion, everyone was treated to a delicious treat: a fruit and berry set in boxes decorated with a golden heart, and a vitamin drink.
These moments of joyful communication will remain in the hearts of children and adults for a long time, filling them with mutual love and respect for each other and understanding that, by filling ourselves with happiness and joy, we make those around us happy.
