TASHKENT PROGRAM

At the Indian Cultural Center named after Lal Bahadur Shastri in Tashkent, on the initiative of Her Excellency the Ambassador of India to Uzbekistan, Ms. Smithu Pant, a program Inner Peace and Raja Yoga Meditation was held. In her welcoming speech, Ms. Pant emphasized the importance of the Brahma Kumaris University’s mission, which serves society by teaching moral values. Mr. Srinivasan, Director, Indian Cultural Centre, Ms. Sudha, Hatha yoga teacher, Ms. Nikita, Dance teacher and representatives of the Diaspora were also present in the program.

A short video was shown about the history of the origin and activities of the Brahma Kumaris World Spiritual University and photos of Madhuban. On the screen the public were introduced to our senior teachers - Didi Chakradhari, Didi Sudha, and Didi Santosh. Brother's Vijay's brief talk about their service in the CIS countries was also shown.

Spouse of an Indian military officer, working in Uzbekistan, recalled her childhood and shared that at the age of 8, she and her family visited the complexes in Mount Abu and, seeing the young people dressed in white, wondered why they chose this path and lately understood about the BKs simple life of chastity. She is inspired to visit Madhuban with her family again.

BK Zhana conducted a meditation with a commentary and after it the participants asked questions:

1) How to deal with the flow of thoughts?

2) How do you feel and understand God, the Highest on High, and why is there a shining star in the images?

3) What if it is impossible to meditate and to feel peace and joy because of the deep trauma of losing loved ones?

4) How to recover and how to get out of depression?

The questions and answers were conducted in a trustworthy atmosphere.

Words from BKs heart from Tashkent: "And finally, we told a parable about false and real diamonds. We wished the guests to be a diamond and to become a first-class diamond in the hands of the Supreme Jeweler. We gave toli and cards with the Image of Shiv Baba".

Then a tea party was organized by the Diaspora in the yard of the Center.

Ms. Pant and several parents brought their children and we played a few games on the lawn. Everyone was satisfied and happy
