About the Award:

The Pravasi Bharatiya Samman Award (PBSA) is the highest honour conferred upon a Non-Resident Indian, Person of Indian Origin, or an organisation/ institution established and run by them.
This award recognizes the contributions of overseas Indians in promoting a better understanding of India abroad, supporting India's causes and concerns, and working for the welfare of the local Indian community.
The selected distinguished overseas Indian community members are honored with the Pravasi Bharatiya Samman Award by the President of India.

Sudha Didi Ji, Senior Faculty Member of Brahma Kumaris, Trustee of Russia Regional Coordinator has been representing the Brahmakumaris in Russia since 1989. Didi received the Pravasi Bharatiya Samman Award-2025 on 10th January, 2025 at the 18th Convention of Pravasi Bharatiya Divas held in Bhubaneswar.

CITATIONS

Ms. Sudha Rani Gupta has been awarded the Pravasi Bharatiya Samman Award for her contribution in "Education'', from Russia.

Ms. Gupta established the "Brahma Kumaris World Spiritual University" and has been working tirelessly to impart and promote Spiritual Knowledge, Raja Yoga Meditation, Divine Virtues in Life and the importance of Service to Humanity through both the Governmental and Non-governmental bodies in Russia since 1989.

Ms. Gupta is deeply committed to her mission and contributes towards propagating Indian wisdom in the Russian society as well as amongst the Indian community in Russia. She has authored books in the Russian language on the theme of spirituality and family values.

Odisha Governor Hari Babu Kambhampati, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, Tribal Affairs Minister Jual Oram were also present on the occasion and greeted the Awardees.
