Family Retreat with Sr. Gayatri

We spent valuable time with Sr.Gayatri from Amrit vela on 30 until 31 August 2024 at Suan Wang Kaew, Rayong province for the Rakshabandhan ceremony. The theme was - "Ekvrata". 

Thailand being the land of smiles - so we have a warm welcome with a dance performance from all 4 regions making it fulfilling with ample smiles & abundance Joy. 

On the first morning, Sr.Gayatri gave us a clear explanation of what Baba said in the Murli and shared valuable ways how she has practically applied baba's knowledge in day to day situations. She set an example by being so honest, open and encouraging by asking everyone to raise questions while she carefully listened & answered with a sense of friendliness and brotherhood. 

We had originally planned to tie the rakhi on Friday 30th from 3 to 5 pm, however due to uncontrollable circumstances, it started raining continuously just a few minutes before we started the program. Hence we decided to postpone the Rahki ceremony to next day. Instead Sr.Gayatri suggested that we utilize that time to sit in powerful Ekaant - yoga and purify the five elements, matter and entire atmosphere. 

The song in the Murli appeared in our minds “The rain of knowledge is for those who are with the Beloved” It was a powerful silence and loving atmosphere amidst the patter of the rains, the sky & sound of ocean waves. Sr.Gayatri asked us to write a love letter to Baba, a pure and eternal love that only we, Baba’s children, receive at this time, in Sangam Yuga. 

In the evening, after dinner, we had Yoga and chit chat about the Yagya Stories. Sr.Gayatri generously shared her precious experiences of being with Dadi Prakashmani, Dadi Janki, Dadi Guzar and Didi Manmohini and how Brahma kumaris started to work in the UN. She further added about Didi Nirmala who had sustained us since the beginning till the time of her role as our guiding Light to move to her higher role with Baba. 

Sr.Gayatri further suggested that we could name our center as “Nirmala Ashram” after didi. This would always help our awareness to remain focussed on our purity and create a powerful & pure atmosphere with power of elevated thoughts, feelings, words, actions and relationships like the lotus. 

The morning of 31st August was a clear sky, perfect for a joyful remembrance of Baba while taking a silent yet joyful walk on the beach. After listening to the cheerful and enlightening Murli, we prepared a suitable & creative place to resonate a sacred atmosphere for tying the rakhi. Sr.Gayatri gave her powerful drishti to each soul giving a feeling of her total attention & focus on them while she was tying the Rakhi. It was our first and maybe the only one time - we got to experience a beautiful and meaningful Raksha Bandhan at the beach in this Kalpa with 60 brothers and sisters and It will certainly remain in our memory forever in every cycle.
