Dear Divine Family,

Here's a report on the “Illuminating the Light Within” Fashion Show Presentation for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games and Gala

Introduction
The "Illuminating the Light Within" fashion show, presented at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games Gala, was a celebration of the Divine light within every individual, expressed through a harmonious blend of fashion, spirituality, and culture. This unique presentation aimed to highlight the spiritual depth of various traditions' dress/costumes and its relationship to the Divine Light.

Event Overview
The fashion show was a pivotal part of the Olympic Gala, drawing attention from a standing room only, diverse international audience, in particular the African olympians and sponsors from around the world. The Gala was held at City Hall in Saint Denis, France. The mayor Mathieu Hanotin who opened the gala with a message on diversity and inclusion created a safe atmosphere for all to enjoy. Sister Jenna interviewed leaders on a variety of panels for the SDG. SEE THE LINK HERE . The panels were rich with information and added much depth to the four days of events in the Paris 2024.

Organizers, panelists, film directors, fashion designers, accepted a last minute invitation to visit the Center in Paris for dinner and relaxation as the inauguration opened in heavy rains. They were overjoyed at the invitation and after entering the BK center in Paris, sighs of relief and joy overwhelmed their beings. They sat for meditation, ate food, and watched the inaugurations together, engaged in spiritual conversations and left happily. The Brahma Kumaris Family in Paris and around were exceptional in being of service fully for this special and unique task of service. We are grateful to Sisters Babeth, Patricia, and all the angels in Paris, Lyon, and Nice.

Highlights of Paris
Opening Segment: The show began with an ethereal display of the Manmanabhav video playing. Then Sister Jenna came onto the stage to set the context of the show, directing the audience to connect with the light within themselves. Students from the BK centers walked the catwalk featuring the Adi Sanatan Devta dharma, along with a dance of light that featured all faiths and, even for those who believe in No One of No Thing, the agnostics or atheists were acknowledged.  The BK yogis ending the fashion with the dress of white symbolizing they belong to everyone and everyone belongs to them. Their presence was of purity, peace, and upliftment of humanity. The crowd was mesmerized and deeply moved. Rev. Dr. Ivy Hylton ended the fashion with her famous song, Let there be Light to a standing ovation!

The audience response was overwhelmingly positive, with many attendees expressing their admiration for the seamless integration of fashion and spirituality. The show’s ability to convey profound messages of peace and enlightenment through the medium of fashion resonated deeply with the international audience, making it one of the most talked-about events of the evening as shared by the producers of the event.

Post-Gala Reflections and Outcomes
Since the presentation, there has been significant interest to offer the show in other places. Also, an upcoming film on Miracles will begin shooting in October with an invitation for the BK's to participate.  Relationships far and wide have been forged with a truly magical beginning. A conversation with the Egyptian Film Festival organizers for an upcoming Film Festival took place last week and they are interested to include the Illuminating the Light Within! The content of the show was inspired by the Being With One project of the Brahma Kumaris that is an installation in the Brahma Kumaris Meditation Museum which featured the tree of all religions.

Conclusion
The "Illuminating the Light Within" fashion show at the Paris 2024 Olympic Gala was not just a showcase of fashion but a powerful statement on the importance of recognizing and nurturing the spiritual light within each person. It gave a beautiful introduction of God's Light and the importance of His remembrance. The experience has not only enriched the audience but has also opened new avenues for future projects that aim to unite fashion, culture, and spirituality.
