Fear and bad experiences of the past do not allow us to have an open mind.

We do not eliminate the problems and obstacles of our life just by thinking about them. But, of course, everything begins in my own mind: how I see myself, how I see others, and how I see life. As my mind, so the vision of my world. One of the first steps required in trying to understand the philosophy of positive thinking is to have an open mind.

What prevents us from having an open mind? Fear and bad experiences of the past do not allow us to be free – it is especially difficult to be open and to communicate where there have sometimes been bad experiences with people. As we open our minds and put aside our fears, we are able to explore new horizons, directions, and insights.  The most important discovery is the discovery of myself; of knowing myself, who I am and where I am going. I have to look inside, at my inner world, and balance it with my external world. This opens the door to the inner journey. This is what meditation is about.

Meditation helps me to refresh my mind, and even to relax my body. The biggest pollution is in my mind; wasteful and negative thinking. The other side of me is pure and divine thinking. I can think like a devil or like an angel. What we try to do in meditation is to collect the energy of our thoughts, calm them down, and start creating thoughts of quality; elevated spiritual thoughts. Meditation is the science of understanding the energy of the mind. This internal world of feelings, thoughts, and awareness is invisible, but when these attributes of the mind are elevated, divine, on a higher level of consciousness, the effects are visible.

The whole point is to listen, to observe, and experiment. The deeper the experiment, the more authentic is my experience. When we are in silence, we are able to communicate with the self, able to concentrate and delve deeply into the self. What we need so much now is to slow down our thinking. That slowing down makes the silence very creative and positive, and consequently my actions will be likewise. I need to practise holding a positive thought, polish that thought, and refine it.

Meditation is the key to unlocking peace, love, and truth – the resources of my eternal self.
