Keeping Relationships Strong and Vital
Self reflection is the door to progress, contemplating others is the root of downfall.
Living in a close knit world, having good relationships becomes increasingly important. Sadly, relationships are no longer as deep and meaningful as they used to be, creating early divorces and sudden breakups in friendships with loved ones. People are less content with each other and happiness often less. Anger, ego, jealousy, possessiveness and insecurity continue to surround relationships more than before.
Pointers for strengthening relationships:
Every person has their own mindset and perspectives, which may not always align with your goals or life milestones. Don't give the negative thoughts and opinions of others space in your life to become obstacles or distract you from your purpose. If you allow negative comments of others to control your thinking, it will weaken your confidence and self-belief. The most important cause of relationships collapsing is inner emptiness, a low self respect for self and others and inability to communicate with the other person. Stay steadfast on your path. Remember, your life's purpose is yours alone, and the determination to achieve it must come from within you.
No one can make us feel hurt. It is our own internal conversation about the behavior of others that determines how we feel. Within relationships remember we hurt ourselves. Only we can heal ourselves by changing our own thoughts and attitudes. Best to empathize because they must be in some pain for behaving in that hurtful way.
Connect to people with a lot of sweetness and humility, but also keep a distance from people in our mind. Attachment in relationships creates expectations and desires leading to sorrow and emotions creating fear, worry and stress. These negative vibrations may be absorbed by others and the goodness and strength of relationship is weakened. Expectations are the seed of most problems in all relationships and exist because qualities of peace, love and joy and respect are not present adequately within the self. So, observe what others are doing, appreciate them constantly, but don’t get over attached with them.
Meditation satisfies our spiritual desires. Give a few minutes everyday to fill yourself with peace, love and joy through beautiful affirmations, and your relationships will also become a reflection of these qualities. No longer needy, we enter into relationships to share and enjoy. Live freely. Have spiritual love and good wishes for others. With no strings attached; our love is unconditional My eternal goodness within and my relationship with a higher source, God, is all I depend on, because it never gives sorrow or leaves me.
