I have been practicing Rajyoga for the past year. In a world where many my age are focused on careers, finding a partner, and starting families, my path has taken a different, yet profoundly rewarding turn.
For a long time, I was fighting something inside. It was a persistent internal noise, a relentless stream of unnecessary and waste thoughts that I just couldn't stop. I had dabbled in different forms of meditation, but without a clear aim or objective, they never truly resonated. It was a true fortune that I was eventually directed to Rajyoga. This practice offered me a solution to the internal chaos that had been pestering me for so long.
Before Rajyoga, my mind was full of things absorbed from the outside world. Growing up, I was simply a child, enjoying whatever life presented. But as I got older, more and more things came my way – things I absorbed, things I saw, things I learned, and advice I received. This constant influx of external information left my mind feeling cluttered and unstable.
Now, within just one year of practicing Rajyoga, I've learned how to control those thoughts. It’s a continuous process of learning and training myself to transform, and I'm still on that journey. But the transformation has been remarkable. Rajyoga has helped me become more stable, balanced, and calm.
One of the most significant changes has been in my daily routine. Before Rajyoga, like many young people, I would wake up late and sleep late. My sleep was often not deep or restful. Now, thanks to the spiritual insights of Rajyoga, I get a profound, deep sleep. I wake up early in the morning for Amritvela. This is a special time, often referred to as the "time of honey" or "nectar," because it's so sweet and powerful. During Amritvela, the vibrations are pure, and not many people are awake yet, allowing us to absorb a pure energy that sustains us throughout the entire day.
Currently, when I'm at the Brahma Kumaris headquarters called Madhuban, I wake up as early as 2:30 AM. Normally, when I'm not here, I still wake up at 3:30 AM. I know it sounds unbelievable to many, especially my peers who might be reading this, but the benefits are immense. Waking up early grants me a powerful surge of energy that helps me stay stable for the entire day. It’s an energy that is hard to describe in words; it's a feeling. Throughout the day, whatever challenges or situations arise, I can face them with ease, simplicity, stability, and peace. Even if I go to bed at 10:00 PM or 10:30 PM, I can still get up at 3:30 AM because I deeply feel the benefits. This feeling drives me to continue.
You might be wondering how Rajyoga fits into my profession. I am an aspiring and working model, a world often perceived as glamorous and far removed from spirituality. People frequently ask how Rajyoga can help in a profession or workplace. My experience is that when we sit in yoga, we connect with a source of pure energy, a powerful light. This connection allows us to extend that light, making us less affected by external influences. Whatever people do around me, it doesn't affect me anymore. I have this incredible energy to connect with, drawing power from within.
My aspirations have also shifted. First and foremost, I want to change myself, to connect more deeply with my inner self, listen to my inner voice, and strengthen my connection to that power source. This helps me navigate life with ease and brightness. Ultimately, my goal is to create a positive vibration within myself and then spread that vibration to the people I interact with. As a model in the fashion world, I meet a lot of different people and teams in various places, and I want to share this beautiful energy that I acquire from meditation.
I am still learning and training, but I know that this lifestyle of early morning meditation, and conscious living is something that every youth can benefit from. While many young people today are caught up in late nights, delayed mornings, and experiencing decreased productivity, energy levels, and even depression, Rajyoga offers a powerful alternative.
I genuinely believe that adopting the Rajyoga lifestyle, even just by giving it a try, can unlock unbelievable energy within you. Just like me, you can connect with yourself and tap into a profound wellspring of inner strength and peace.
