I was fortunate to have experienced a deep and transformative spiritual journey that not only reshaped my life but also allowed me to help others in their quest for self-discovery. It all began when I first came into the knowledge of Raja Yoga, a practice that connects the soul with the Supreme. The moment I encountered this knowledge, I felt an immediate connection. It was as if everything I had been searching for was right in front of me. From that point on, I knew my life would take a different path.

In the beginning, my journey wasn’t without its challenges. After spending about three or four years deeply immersed in Raja Yoga, I was asked to leave my home country of Malaysia to serve in a completely new environment. It was a daunting request. Leaving my family, my children, and the life I had known was not easy, especially as a woman stepping into a foreign land without knowing anyone there. Naturally, my family was concerned, especially my children. But deep down, I had faith. I knew that if I was true to my purpose and to the task I was given, I would be successful.

The journey to this new country was filled with both excitement and fear. I had to navigate bureaucratic challenges, register the center, and explain to the local authorities what I was doing. On top of that, I had to gain the trust of the people I was serving. They had many questions and doubts. They wondered how learning about meditation and self-transformation would change them and whether they would lose their identity in the process.

I understood their concerns, and I knew that it would take time for them to trust me and the knowledge I was sharing. I told myself that this process couldn’t be rushed. I had faith that everything would work out in its own time, but I didn’t set a specific timeline. This required immense patience. Slowly but surely, people started to see the value in what I was teaching. It wasn’t about changing their identity or giving up something, but rather about expanding their consciousness and understanding their own power.

One of the core aspects of my teachings was helping people understand the impact of their actions, or karma, on their lives. Many were curious about how their past deeds influenced their present and future. As I sat with them and answered their questions, I could see how fascinated they were by the knowledge. The more I shared, the more they opened up, and slowly, they embraced the teachings.

One particularly moving moment in my journey was the decision to leave my children behind. Initially, I was adamant that I could never leave them. As a mother, it seemed unthinkable to part from them. However, it was my children themselves who gave me the courage to go. They said to me, “Mother, you are taking care of the two of us, but imagine if you could go to a new place and take care of a hundred people. You are free to do what you need to do.” Their words moved me deeply, and I realized that by leaving, I wasn’t abandoning them. Instead, I was expanding my family and creating a larger community of love and care.

Once I arrived in Bali, I was faced with a new set of challenges. The local people were skeptical at first. They were worried about how these new teachings might affect their lives, especially with things like changing their diet. I reassured them that they didn’t have to make any changes overnight. I explained the importance of thinking about the food we eat and how it impacts not only our bodies but also our minds. I often shared examples of how animals that eat plants, like elephants and horses, are peaceful and graceful, while carnivorous animals tend to be more aggressive. This helped them understand the deeper impact of their food choices.

Over time, as people observed my lifestyle and how I lived both privately and publicly, they began to trust me. They saw that the teachings were not about imposing rules but about helping them discover a more peaceful and fulfilling way of life. I realized that my conviction and happiness as a teacher directly influenced my students. When they saw how peaceful and grounded I was, they were more willing to embrace the teachings themselves.

Ultimately, my journey taught me that faith in oneself and the Supreme is the key to overcoming any challenge. When I first left Malaysia, I didn’t know what to expect, but I carried with me the belief that I was not alone. I knew that if I tapped into the power of meditation and my connection with the Supreme Soul, everything would fall into place.

Even now, I continue to learn and grow. The path of spiritual development is never complete, but it is a journey that fills my life with purpose and joy. Looking back, I’m grateful for every challenge because it allowed me to serve others and expand the circle of love in my life.
