From an early age, she developed a deep interest in God and became a regular member of her local church. As a young woman, she shared her faith by helping to teach children at the local Sunday School about Jesus.In 1956, Marjorie married Thomas Angell, and together they built a loving home. Their first daughter, Debra, was born in 1958, followed by Kim in 1960 and Tracey in 1964. Marjorie dedicated herself to her family, creating a warm and caring home where her children were deeply loved.As life went on, her children grew up and started families of their own, blessing Marjorie with four grandchildren whom she adored just as dearly as her own children.In the early 1980s, a chance meeting with a lady named Isabelle led Marjorie to visit the Brahma Kumaris Centre on Beeches Road in West Bromwich, run by Manuben. That visit marked a turning point in her spiritual journey — from then on, she became Baba’s child again.Through Raja Yoga and the Brahma Kumaris family, Marjorie met many wonderful people and immersed herself in the love, peace, and spiritual understanding it brought into her life. Over the years, she visited Madhuban as well as retreats in Oxford and London. She held a special affection for all the Dadis and would eagerly look forward to programmes where they were present.I remember attending many of these events with her — one that stands out was seeing Dadi Janki on stage at the Albert Hall, such a tiny lady radiating immense Godly power. Marjorie had a particular love for Dadi Janki and Sister Jayanti (who was a young woman at that time), as well as for dear Manu behn, with whom she was connected from around 1984 until the West Bromwich Centre closed.Marjorie cherished the Centre deeply and missed it greatly when it closed. She formed lasting friendships with Sister Margaret, Sister Paula, Sister Pat, Sister Shanti behn, Sister Gurdev, Sister Devkie, and many more.There is no doubt that finding Baba enriched her life beyond measure. Even in her later years, when anxiety about travelling — especially by car or on the motorway — made things more difficult, her devotion to Baba never wavered. She remained steadfast in her faith until she left the body.Marjorie will be deeply missed by so many. She was a loving and caring person who always saw the best in others.For me personally, no words can express how much I will miss my mother. Yet I take comfort in knowing that our souls will meet again — somewhere, sometime.Reflections from her BK Birmingham and West Bromwich FamilyWhen Sister Marj first came to the centre, I asked her name, and she replied, “Marj Angel.” Right then, I told her that she has to become an angel — and indeed, she truly was one, a real angel. I feel deeply honoured to have known such a special and unique sister. My heartfelt best wishes for her onward journey, with lots of love to her and the family — Sister ManuSister Marj was an original jewel of West Bromwich Centre. Angel by name, angelic by nature, so quiet and gentle, she created no fuss or conflict, only sweet kind words for everyone. Marge also loved the fun of being part of this BK family, especially significant events and gatherings. On many occasions her creativity contributed to decorating the&nbsp;centre or making props and costumes for our in-house performances. Before this technical age, she contributed hundreds of delightful hand-written blessings that were beautiful works of art. In recent years her age and health issues were challenges but she remained dedicated to Baba, Murli and shrimat. Her valuable presence in this family made a difference – Sr PaulaMarjorie was reflective, sweet, calm and accepting. She had a warm and pleasant smile and a good wish for all. Brijmohan Bhai Ji, the Secretary General of the Brahma Kumaris, a pillar of the Yagya, a guiding light of the Management Committee, and the Head of the Accounts Department, has become avyakt and merged in BapDada’s lap.&nbsp; His health had not been well since January this year. Initially, he received treatment in Ahmedabad and at the Global Hospital in Mount Abu. Later, he was recuperating at ORC (Om Shanti Retreat Centre), Delhi.&nbsp; Even during his illness, he always remained in a spiritually awakened stage, constantly merged in Baba’s love. He listened to the Murli daily and showered loving, spiritual drishti upon all the family members.&nbsp; However, as per the drama, on 8 October, his health suddenly deteriorated. He was immediately admitted to a hospital in Manesar, near ORC, Delhi NCR. On the morning of 9 October 2025, Thursday, at 10:25 AM, he left his mortal coil and merged in the lap of BapDada.&nbsp; His body will be kept at ORC until 5 PM on Friday, 10 October, for final darshan. Intelligent and always a free spirit, she participated in many adventures in her life, and I will miss her.Born in Bedford, PA, she got her first degree in education from Penn State, which is where she met my father. After marrying, they lived in Pittsburgh, New Orleans, Ohio and Lynchburg before settling in Greensboro, NC. There she taught at GTI, later GTCC. She got a masters degree from UNC-G and a second masters from University of Tasmania, as a Rotarian scholar.She always wanted to travel the world, and she seized that opportunity to do so. After retiring, she lived in Tampa, then Australia, New Zealand, London, Germany, Hawaii, Oregon and finally Richmond. I always knew she planned to stay in a place for a while if she bought a car there.While in Tasmania, she joined the Brahma Kumaris spiritual movement and traveled to India frequently for enlightenment.At 80, she moved to Richmond so David and I could help her as she aged gracefully. I love that she called me one day and asked if she should give up driving, and if she did, could I teach her how to Uber.A few years ago, she was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s, then suffered a stroke that left her unable to speak clearly. We still enjoyed each other’s company playing cards, jigsaw puzzles and general silliness.I’ll miss her, but I know she’s in a better place now, where she can talk clearly, and laugh as the squirrels annoy the birds by stealing their food.Note: Please click on the images to view in full size.

Baba's Global Citizen, Nancy Hammer Flew to Baba on 4th April, 2025

She married in 1971 then moved to England. A mother of three, Premila found great joy in spending time with her family and loved to cook. Premila had time for everyone and was always ready to help others without expecting anything in return. She was a selfless, caring soul who wished only the best for everyone.Premila embarked on her spiritual journey when she took the Raja Yoga Meditation course 13 years ago in Loughborough. &nbsp;She became a regular visitor to the Centre during the day, attending spiritual classes and meditations with unwavering dedication. She never missed World Meditation Hour and the monthly Global Bhattis.Whenever there was a local public or BK event, Premila never missed it. A special memory we cherish is celebrating her 70th birthday at the Centre with her close relatives. She regularly attended events at Harmony House, Leicester, and was present on 19th January 2025 when Sr Jayanti visited. On that day, Premila quietly helped with the washing up when there were over 400 people for dinner.Premila loved to help in service and would always volunteer herself, especially for cleaning and kitchen work. Even at 76 years of age, her enthusiasm was unshakable. Whenever we called her to come for service at the Loughborough Centre, she would happily respond "HaJi" and arrive well before time, ready to serve with a smile.Premila was a simple, polite, and deeply humble soul. She loved silence and was happiest when quietly serving or meditating at the Centre. Her gentle smile, kind and loving presence, and quiet strength will always be remembered and deeply missed by the BK Loughborough spiritual family.Her funeral took place on Friday, 7th February 2025.
