Raksha Bandhan Celebration in Seychelles

The spirit of the 50th Anniversary Celebration for the service in Africa continues. In July we had a special occasion of meeting his excellency the President of Seychelles Mr. Wavel Ramkalawan at State House in Victoria. Baba had wonderfully given a signal for the encounter in that day’s Murli of 19th July 2024: ‘’If you explain this to even one eminent person, everyone else will also continue to listen to you. Speak to them whilst in a state of yoga and everyone will even forget the time, etc. No one will be able to say anything. Instead of 15 to 20 minutes, they will sit there listening to you for even an hour. However, you need that power. There mustn’t be any body consciousness.; ‘No matter how great a position someone has, even if he is the Commander-in-Chief of the Air Force, the Army or the Navy, what is all of that compared to you?And so, we applied Baba yukti's and, what was meant to be a 15-minutes meeting indeed went on for an hour exactly as Baba had said. We explained to the President the service we have been doing and he was particularly impressed by the positive thinking in schools. We impressed upon him our wish for him to visit Madhuban for the Peace of Mind Program and he was very keen &amp; impressed and told us to send him the details. We talked about the Africa 50th Anniversary celebrations and celebrated with him by tying him Rakhi together with a white-themed band and gave him blessing and books (Dadi Janki’s companion of God). We also discussed the possibility of moving the Centre to a quieter and more spacious location, and he was very encouraging and ready to help. Francis &amp; Sister Valentina conducted a program on ‘Mindfulness’ to about 120 Staff members of the Central bank of Seychelles, including the governor during their whole day retreat in the sister island of Prasline. They had chartered a luxurious speed boat for the one-hour trip, amid a very turbulent sea which we all bravely faced with the light &amp; might of our great companion - the true Ocean. We also celebrated the 50th Anniversary with them by sharing the white-themed band and made them tie rakhi to each other and gave them blessings. Dear Divine Brother/ Sister, Greetings of peace and love from the FOP team!We enjoyed hosting the 73rd FOP event and the 1st one in Africa, at the Future of Power Retreat Center in the Brahma Kumaris Retreat Complex in Nairobi from Noon on Friday the 21st &nbsp;to after lunch on Sunday 23rd June, 2024.. &nbsp;It was a pleasure for us to welcome 150 guests from all over Kenya and a few from 9 Countries abroad, as active participants. We especially enjoyed welcoming new participants from Africa and giving them a glimpse of what FOP is all about!We are very pleased to report that the event was a resounding success. We had the pleasure of having Sister Shivani, in addition we were also very pleased to have Advisory Board Member Neville. Unfortunately, Mike George was unable to make it due to his health and we were very pleased that Neville was able to make it at the last minute!It was very gratifying that the majority of the participants were first timers but were Kenyan Africans and the majority of those were ladies! They took a great deal of Gyan during the 3 days and we are happy to report that during the feedback session on Sunday, many of them expressed how very rich and rewarding the experience of the Retreat was and that many of them did not want it to end! Many emails and phone calls received from the participants following the Retreat is also further evidence of the contentment and even surprise at the amount of knowledge absorbed during the week-end. The chronology of events of her visit is as follows:Tuesday 7 May – Arrival and WelcomeSister Jayanti visited Mauritius after 20 long years. &nbsp;When she arrived at the airport in the early morning, she was warmly welcomed by the National Co-ordinating team.After one hour of her arrival, two TV interviews were scheduled at the Quatre Bornes Centre. &nbsp;One of them was aired on the national television on the same day.During a reception programme organised in her honour on the same day, she met the BK family along with Sister Vedanti who was also in Mauritius as a resource person for the Call of The Time (COTT). &nbsp;They both shared points of self-effort to boost up energy for the event. &nbsp;Wednesday 8 to Sunday 12 May -- COTT Retreat in Domaine de Grand BaieSister Jayanti conducted morning class with the BKs in Quatre-BornesShe then met the African COTT core team at the new centre, close to the Venue of She COTT, Domaine de Grand Baie in the north. The opening ceremony took place in the evening with a musical interlude with Desert Rose, Bro Yusuf and Sister Lynne in the presence of all centre coordinator sisters. Former President of the country, Hon Cassam Uteem was the special guest of the day. &nbsp;There was an attendance of around 40 participants from the African region including the core Team. Divine Family,This is brief news for our Global Family on the cyclone we had on Monday 15 January.&nbsp; Yes …A short but severe cyclone with heavy rainfall struck the island causing considerable damage to certain areas in the island, specially the infrastructures but fortunately our centers and all Baba’ s children were safe and sound.It was indeed a tough test for the short time that the floods hit the main streets of the capital, Port-louis where the roads were transformed into raging rivers carrying everything in their way. &nbsp;BKs working in various offices encountered certain difficulties but reached their centers/ residence safely. It gave us a taste of the vulnerability of Nature but above all the canopy of BapDada’s &nbsp;Protection to His children.We are grateful to you for the yog vibrations you sent to us and Mother Nature.NCT Mauritius
