The Power of Blessings: A Journey Within

The Power of Blessings: A Journey Within

Introduction: Understanding the Essence of Blessings
Om Shanti. When we observe the world today, it becomes evident that expressing negativity has become very easy. People often get irritated, anxious, or upset over small matters, and a common phrase we hear is, “You will get your karma back.” In this process, we seem to have forgotten the art of giving blessings. This raises an important question: have we moved away from a powerful inner practice that once shaped human consciousness?

It is very easy to point fingers at others. However, a wise saying reminds us that when we point one finger outward, the remaining fingers point back at us. This indicates that whenever we blame or curse others, there is something within us that requires attention. Perhaps we are giving our inner power away, becoming weak, or allowing external situations to dominate our

Meditation and Self-Realization: The Foundation of Inner Power
The journey begins with self-realization. When we connect with our true identity and develop self-respect, we start giving blessings to ourselves. A person who feels blessed internally naturally shares that energy with others. Just as we can only give what we possess, inner richness leads to the spontaneous sharing of positivity.

On the other hand, some individuals find temporary satisfaction in cursing others. Psychologically, this stems from unresolved pain. When someone feels hurt but cannot respond directly, they release that emotion through negative thoughts. However, this creates a cycle of inner turmoil.

Meditation helps break this cycle. It prevents us from absorbing negativity like a sponge. Instead, we remain stable, connected to a higher source of energy, and begin radiating positivity.

Connecting with the Supreme: Cleansing the Inner Self
To truly give blessings, we must first fill ourselves. This connection with the Supreme requires removing the “insulation” of limited consciousness. When our awareness is restricted by body-consciousness or limiting beliefs, we cannot experience that divine connection.

A simple analogy can help us understand this process. If a bucket is filled with impurities and we continuously pour clean water into it, the impurities gradually flow out, leaving only purity behind. Similarly, when we connect our mind and intellect to the Supreme, pure energy flows within us, cleansing our thoughts and emotions. This inner purification allows blessings to emerge naturally.

Balancing Strength and Kindness in Daily Life
Spirituality does not mean becoming weak or passive. There is a misconception that those who practice meditation become naive. In reality, a spiritually aware person is both humble and strong, like a fruit-laden tree that bends but remains rooted.

It is important to speak up when something is not right. Silence does not mean suppressing truth. Instead, it refers to inner silence — a calm and stable mind. With this inner stability, we can communicate clearly without anger or agitation. This balanced approach allows us to express ourselves while maintaining dignity and respect.

The True Meaning of Silence and Blessings
Silence is often misunderstood as the absence of words. In reality, it is the quietness of the mind. When the mind is silent, our actions become more powerful and meaningful. We can then act as a “detached observer and active participant,” performing our roles effectively without losing inner balance.

Blessings are not limited to rituals or gestures. They are exchanged in everyday interactions — when parents bless their children, when we help someone in need, or when we create comfort and warmth for others. These subtle, heart-to-heart connections are the true expressions of blessings.

Transformation Through Self-Change
It is often believed that we can change others through our actions or intentions. However, the truth is that we can only change ourselves. When we transform internally and expand our consciousness, our vibrations influence others. This may inspire them to change, but the choice remains theirs.

A powerful example of this principle is shared by Dadi Janki, who mentioned that in her life, only 5% effort came from herself, 45% from God, and 50% from the blessings of others. This highlights the immense power of collective positivity and divine connection.

Conclusion: Becoming a Source of Blessings
Blessings are not something external; they emerge from within. When we cultivate a pure heart, maintain inner silence, and stay connected to the Supreme, blessings flow effortlessly through us.

Instead of trying to change others, let us turn the mirror toward ourselves. With patience, self-awareness, and consistent practice, we can discover a new dimension of our being. By choosing to give blessings unconditionally, we not only uplift others but also transform our own lives.

Om Shanti.
