Staying Spiritually Charged in a Draining World

Introduction
In today’s world, I often observe that everything around us feels draining. Whether it is the news, relationships, or daily responsibilities, there is a constant pull on our energy. Many people ask me how we can remain spiritually strong and not feel exhausted by the world. From my experience, the answer lies in practicing Rajyoga meditation with consistency and awareness.
My Journey with Rajyoga
When I first learned Rajyoga meditation, I found it a little difficult. However, with regular practice, it gradually became natural. I always say that practice makes perfect, and consistency is the key. Before learning Rajyoga, I practiced devotion-based meditation where I would close my eyes, and often I would fall asleep. Rajyoga, however, is different. It is an open-eye meditation that keeps me aware and connected while remaining active.
Understanding Rajyoga Meditation
Rajyoga is not just a meditation technique; it is a way of life. In this practice, I focus on a point of light and consciously avoid negative and wasteful thoughts. It trains the mind to remain stable and positive. The most important awareness I hold is "I am not this body; I am a soul.” This realization changes the way I think, act, and respond to situations in my daily life.
The Power of Early Morning Practice
For me, the most powerful time to meditate is early morning, during Brahma Muhurat. I usually wake up between 2:45 and 3:00 a.m., freshen up, and sit in silence. At this time, the world is quiet, and the mind is fresh. Whatever I absorb at this hour gets deeply imprinted in my mind. As soon as I wake up, I remind myself of my true identity as a soul.
I compare this to feeding the body. Just as we nourish our body with food and water, early morning meditation is like feeding the soul with spiritual energy.
Practicing Open-Eye Meditation
Many people ask me how to meditate with open eyes in such a negative world. My answer is simple: the focus is not on the external environment but on inner awareness. I see myself as a point of light—a soul—and I focus on a point of light.
Wherever I am, whether at home or at work, I can practice this connection. I remind myself that every human being is also a soul, and then I connect with the Supreme Being, the Supreme Soul. This connection can be experienced anytime and anywhere.
Prayer and Meditation: My Realization
Through my journey, I have understood the difference between prayer and meditation. Earlier, I used to pray a lot, asking for solutions and answers. However, in Rajyoga meditation, I experience something different. Instead of asking, I begin to receive answers. This has been my personal experience.
I also realized that God is not far away. He is close. He is the Supreme Soul, and I am His child. God does not punish; rather, I experience the results of my own actions. God helps me purify and uplift myself.
Staying Stable in a Challenging World
The world today is undoubtedly challenging. However, I have experienced that when my connection with the Supreme is strong, I do not feel completely drained. If I ever feel low, I understand that my connection needs to be strengthened. That is why I practice meditation daily.
I also believe that a better world will come, as many traditions speak about a peaceful and pure world. To be part of that world, I need to prepare myself by becoming soul-conscious and pure.
My Message to Youth
I feel that today’s youth have immense energy, courage, and strength. However, many are searching for peace in the wrong places. When their desires are not fulfilled, they may turn to distractions. I would encourage them to learn Rajyoga meditation and experience the difference in their lives. This practice can help them transform their energy and find true peace.
My Daily Practice for Spiritual Strength
To remain spiritually charged, I take short pauses throughout the day. Every one or two hours, I stop for a moment, sit quietly, and reconnect with the Supreme. Even in a busy schedule, this is possible. These small breaks help me maintain balance and stability. For me, meditation is a form of protection in this fast and stressful world.
Conclusion
From my experience, Rajyoga meditation is a powerful way to stay spiritually strong in a draining environment. With consistent practice, early morning meditation, and regular self-awareness, I am able to maintain my inner energy. The key is to stay connected, remain consistent, and remember who I truly am—a soul. Through this awareness, I continue to move forward with strength and peace.
